Over the space of 25 years, our Bath-based company has evolved from a tree surgery business into a diverse and dynamic enterprise, dedicated to trees and landscape ecosystems. We have developed a wealth of experience in the care and understanding of trees and woodlands, making us the natural choice for your tree-scaping needs.  

The Team

  • Charlie Marsden

    Co-founder of TreeSource, Charlie has a determined desire to wild landscapes, reconnecting the world with nature. With a passion for the ecology and morphology of ancient and veteran trees, and a deep and ever-broadening relationship with the natural world.

    Charlie’s twenty-five years of experience has been centred around the understanding and application of tree remediation. His experience and interests lie within the ecology of trees, woodlands and the rhizosphere (rooting zone) Currently training with Dr Elaine Ingham of the Soil Food Web Charlie is furthering his knowledge in soil life and their complex interactions, as a soil technician.

    Charlie is dedicated to a deepening connection with natural world, supported by ongoing leadership training with Mac Macartney, founder of Embercombe.

  • Rangana Oliveira

    Vision director and co-founder of TreeSource, Rangana strives to bring natural visions and ideas to life. Rangana is a trained psychologist, but has spent much of her life working on conservation across the globe in places such as the Amazon Rainforest and Costa Rica.

    Through close work with indigenous people and the land in which they live, Rangana has gained first-hand insight into how and why our connection with nature is so important - one that must be revived and enhanced, aligning with the core mission at TreeSource, to restore old knowledge back into how we manage land.

    Intertwined with her psychology background, Rangana is interested in internal ecology, looking at how the natural world resonates and affects our wellbeing.

  • Joseph

    Project Manager

    With a wealth of experience in all aspects of landscaping and especially water course creation and management Joe ensures all work is delivered according to specification and adapted in line with client demands and the ever evolving environment, his practical skills and knowledge motivating the team. The success of our projects are delivered and monitored by Joe.

    Qualifications: FD-Rural Environmental Management, BSc(Hons) - Countryside Management.

  • Claire

    Associate / Agroforestry Consultant

    Trained originally as a geologist, her interests in agriculture and food systems led her back to studies and has recently qualified in Agroforestry, Claire engages with the design and implementation of your food based, multi strata woodland planting projects, ensuring the long term viability and productivity of our agroforestry schemes.

    Qualifications: MACANTAB Natural Science, MSc Environmental Technology, MSc Sustainable Agriculture and Food Security.

    Administrator

    Raj is the first point of contact for direct inquiries, emails and correspondence for TreeSource. She has a vital role in ensuring that operations run smoothly across the organisation’s office.
